COMPACT PELLET SYSTEMS

Say goodbye to large, clumsy hoppers and screws, and feeds and chains all over the place. Unless you want them, of course.
Supplement your Pellmax with the compact Pellet Hopper 200 (photo) for a neat, compact installation. The Pellet Hopper 200 can also be linked to a bulk hopper, which makes it virtually maintenance-free.

BULK HOPPER

For real convenience, get a bulk hopper for your Pellmax. Värmebaronen does not sell bulk hoppers.

Viking Bio

TENS OF THOUSANDS SOLD

Viking Bio is probably Sweden's most popular pellet burner with tens of thousands sold. It is designed to have a long service life and low installation costs. Viking Bio suits all boilers due to its forward-burning design. Värmebaronen has sold VIKING brand burners for over 20 years.

ECONOMY

Viking Bio pellet burners normally try to start up at low power. They automatically switch to higher power if it is very cold outside and there is insufficient power. The Viking Bio pellet burner feeds in small pellet doses at short intervals to ensure a consistent flame and a very high level of efficiency. As with all pellet burners, good quality pellets are required to ensure the best operation.

Boilers with heat exchanges/coils are put under a strain when lots of family members need to shower in a short space of time. Viking Bio has a unique function that automatically senses if the hot water requirement has increased. The burner then starts up quickly before the boiler demands heat (sold as an accessory). Viking Bio pellet burners have outputs for both light and audio signals that indicate if you have forgotten to fill it with pellets.

ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT

Viking Bio has been tested and approved by the SP Technical Research Institute of Sweden and achieved excellent results. Naturally it's P-marked, a requirement you should always look for on a pellet burner - for your own safety's sake!

SAFETY

Carefully considered ignition eliminates the risk of flue gases collecting in the boiler and igniting with explosive force (a problem with some pellet burners). The burner ventilates both itself and the boiler during start up. It then starts up calmly and carefully. The flame builds up in stages to the preset power. The temperature in the drop tube and surroundings is checked. The flame is monitored by a photocell. If the burner fails to start for some reason, it will blow all dangerous flue gases out of the boiler before it stops.

RELIABILITY

The burner has no moving parts apart from the fan. All parts that get hot are manufactured from high temperature-resistant, acid-proof stainless steel of the very highest quality. Viking Bio pellet burners have a very reliable electric starter. The starting element is monitored so that it can't overheat. It is very unusual to need to replace the element, which is a common problem with many other pellet burners.

LOW MAINTENANCE

The burner is attached with easy to access rapid connectors. The electrical connections and pellet feeder hose have rapid connectors. It takes about 10 seconds to release the burner from the boiler. The burner is light and easy to carry.

ADAPTABLE

Viking Bio has a forward-burning flame, just like an oil burner. This is why the burner fits all boilers, even narrow modern oil boilers, such as CTC 1100/1200/2200, Nibe City, etc. Viking Bio is easy and cheap to install.
You can order a converter kit for CTC's oil boilers. The combination has been tested and approved by SP as being highly efficient and conforms with environmental standards.

TRIED AND TESTED DUAL BOILER TECHNOLOGY

Biomax is based on tried and tested dual boiler technology but is ideal for modern biofuels and meets our customers' demand for convenience.

COMPLETE FREEDOM TO CHOOSE YOUR FUEL

The Biomax works just as well using pellets as it does with wood. Choose whichever solution is the most convenient and economical solution for you. The separate fireboxes make switching energy sources quick and easy.
The Biomax also has 9 kW electric heating, which is sufficient for most houses. The pellet burner can remain installed even when you are using wood.

CERAMIC GRATES AND RAPID RELEASE HANDLES

The wood firebox is designed for reverse combustion with ceramic grates and secondary combustion chamber just as in purely wood-fired boilers. The boiler has been tested by SP, the Technical Research Institute of Sweden, and fulfills all environmental limits by a wide margin. Accumulators are required when firing with wood, however they aren't necessary when firing with pellets.
All hatches have rapid release handles and a removable ash pan that makes it simple to clear ash from the boiler.

Pellmax UB

COMPLEMENTS ALL HEATING SYSTEMS

The UB model is a heat source that is perfectly suited to solar panels and/or heat pumps. Allow the solar panels to heat the hot water and your house in spring, summer and autumn. Burn pellets in the winter.
Pellmax UB is also an excellent complement to heat pumps. The colder it is outside, the poorer the efficiency of your heat pump. Let Pellmax UB to take care of the heating when the weather is cold. Pellets are cheaper then.

COMPLEMENTS ALL HEATING SYSTEMS

Whatever type of heating you have, you can supplement it with the Pellmax UB pellet-fired heater. All you need is a waterborne heating system and some form of water tank/accumulator tank. Many heat pumps are currently connected to a double jacketed electric boiler indoors, thus making it very easy to connect the Pellmax UB.
The pellet-fired heater is only 95 cm high and easy to find space for.

PELLMAX VX | COMPACT

The Pellmax VX is a solid, compact pellet boiler with traditional control using mechanical thermostats. Hot water is produced by a heat exchanger. The Pellmax VX is the ideal choice if your boiler room has a low ceiling.

HOT WATER WITH EXCHANGER

The Pellmax VX is controlled by mechanical thermostats that connects to the pellet burner or electric heater according to the temperatures selected. If you run out of pellets, the electric heating will be automatically enabled. The display panel shows which energy type is operating. The heat exchanger produces hot water as it is required. The water is heated when it passes the heat exchanger on its way to the tap. Please note that heat exchangers can be susceptible to hard water containing lime; in this case you should choose the Pellmax CU with a copper-lined hot water tank. Please check with your local authority's Water and Sewage department.
The Pellmax VX is quite short and is suitable for rooms with low ceilings. All connections are easily accessible.

CLIMATE CONTROLLED HEATING

Smart functions reduce operating costs by up to SEK 1,000 per year compared with other pellet boilers on the market. Climate controlled heat regulation ensures that your home is always heated to the correct temperature even if the external temperature changes quickly. The boiler shuts down heating during the summer but starts all vital functions every day so that nothing will fail come the autumn. Together, these functions save you money every day.

PLENTY OF HOT WATER

The Pellmax CU features a robust copper-lined hot water heater that provides plenty of hot water. The pellet boiler also has electric heating as a backup in case you run out of pellets.

OUTSTANDING ECONOMY

All these functions make the Pellmax CU a real money saver. Climate control, together with smart control of the pellet burner, saves money and ensures the highest levels of comfort.
